I began my yoga practice in New York City in the early 90’s. At
that time, I was primarily working as a corporate spokesperson and a professional
singer. Shortly after taking a 200 hour training at the Integral
Yoga Institute, I began teaching there and also teaching a weekly class
to the visually impaired at the Jewish Guild for the Blind.
During that time I studied with Judith Hanson Lasater in two separate
workshops focusing on the Shoulder and on Yoga for Woman. I was completely
hooked by her intelligence and compassionate communication. I decided
to take the Basic Relax and Renew® training. Since that time,
Judith has been a major influence in my work as well as a mentor, guiding
me through the Advanced Relax and Renew® training which I completed
in 2007. It has been a privilege to assist Judith on the East Coast
for numerous Relax and Renew® trainings.
Currently I work one-on-one with people in Manhattan, using yoga therapeutically.
In addition to the Relax and Renew® trainings, I hold certifications
in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Stress Management. My business is called Resilience
for Life®
I am a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the
Yoga Alliance (RYT500) and the Integral Yoga Teachers Association. My articles
have appeared in Yoga Therapy in Practice, Integral Yoga Magazine, NSA's
Health and Wellness Newsletter, and NAMASTE.
I love traveling and reading and still work as a spokesperson and singer,
even as my private practice continues to grow. Currently, I am in an Advanced
Yoga and Ayurveda training with Dr. David Frawley. I am so grateful for
the opportunity to be on this infinite path of learning and for teachers
like Judith, who so generously share their wisdom.
