My daily yoga practice began in 1976 with Richard Hittleman’s 28 Day Exercise Plan. After three months I ordered a copy of BKS Iyengar’s Light on Yoga, and have been studying with the Iyengars and their teachers ever since. My relationship with Judith began with my first away from home yoga retreat in 1984. Since those early days I have earned a Relax & Renew Trainer Certificate, an Iyengar teaching certificate, a BS and MA in exercise science, and, after sending my son off to college was finally able, more than once, to visit India to study with the Iyengars.
I am an itinerant yogi, having lived in one community only a few years before moving on. This has given me the opportunity to share yoga with a wide variety of people. I have so much enjoyed learning from students and teachers, and sharing my yoga experiences with them. Yoga has helped me to develop deep relationships with the facets of the life in which I abide. It has been way too much fun, this serious act of living.
